# A truism about communication

I think I've written about this before. But I came across it in my notes and decided to post it, since it won't fit on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/#!/stasparshin).

**If you're not understood, it's your problem (more precisely, a problem with your communication), not the other side's (the recipient's).** When your task is to get information across, it isn't enough just to pass it on; you also have to make sure it was received and understood.

It's that simple ;)
