# Disturbing opinions

> A businessman is a person who, every night as he goes to bed knowing that today he has become richer than yesterday, feels an indescribable pleasure. And, conversely, falls into the deepest depression if he has less money.
>
> Vasyl Volga, head of Derzhfinposluh, Ukraine's financial services regulator, in [an interview with the magazine *Vlast Deneg*](http://b23.ru/c0u3)

\[Volga goes on to say that the businessman gets hooked on news of the day's earnings and, like an addict, needs a bigger "dose" every time, and that it's a very boring way to live.]

The highest value of a human being lies precisely in the drive to achieve better results tomorrow than today. Where would we be without the drive to develop? What would set us apart from insects, if we didn't have this nail in our backside called constant dissatisfaction?
