# Online store products in Google results

News about Google developing its [Google Product Search](http://www.google.com/shopping) service turns up every now and then. But what caught my attention was the organic search results for online store products, that is, for product pages.

The thing is, a great many online stores, unfortunately, list products they don't have and can't even get. To attract traffic, obviously. I don't know how this irritated traffic converts, but I think Google, guardian of clean search results, would definitely be interested in ranking such product pages properly. I don't think there are any technical obstacles. An "Add to cart" button is easy enough to tell from the words "Out of stock", even for a spider :)

But maybe there's something I don't know.
