10,000 business lessons I have yet to learn

Lesson 1. Use what you have. Maybe what you think of as a weakness can be turned into a strength.

Lesson 2. Try everything that comes to mind, comes to hand, or people suggest. The main thing is to count the results.

Lesson 3. Don’t get distracted. Check the results every day. Picture the process as a line segment connecting two points: from the entry point (the website, the ad) to the end point (getting the money from the customer). Control the whole process.

Lesson 4. Don’t be afraid: nothing is worse than doing nothing.

Lesson 5. When it goes badly, don’t give up: it’s part of the process (imagine it’s one of the levels of a game that you simply have to get through). The main thing is to keep improving.

Lesson 6. When it goes badly, fix it. Try doing the exact opposite. Or just imagine: what if… Try it another way.

Lesson 7. Don’t give yourself time to get scared. Often, the longer you think, the foggier everything gets. Don’t get stuck on it: try.

Lesson 8. Forget “What an idiot I am, why didn’t I think of this before!” Back then you had different conditions; now you have new ones. Forget the missed opportunities, so you don’t miss the new ones.

Lesson 9. Write down all the duties and areas of responsibility: let everyone know what’s expected of them.

Lesson 10. Make a list of the companies you envy and look through their websites (portfolios) regularly. Look, envy them even more, reach for it.
